Issiaka KONATE, Director of Ader-Cov has a Master II in local development, decentralization and governance in addition to a license in journalism communication and general education. He is married and father of 4 children, he speaks 4 languages. He has over 20 years of experience in humanitarian development.
He has occupied several positions of responsibility in other NGOs in the past.
Growing up in a peasant family, he quickly understood the vulnerability of communities and the urgent needs of his populations harshly affected by extreme poverty and the effects of climate change. He has great compassion for animals and nature. He made the choice to work in humanitarian organizations to bring a lasting positive change. It has a perfect proximity to communities which promotes incredible community mobilization to bring success to community projects.
- In 2017, he mobilized and implemented various women’s groups for agroforestry projects which contributed to the empowerment of around 250 women.
- In 2018, he managed to mobilize young people to end the donkey skin trade which threatens the existence of donkeys which constitutes a survival base in rural areas.
- In 2020, by awareness -raising actions, he converted to agricultural transition 50 young leaders traffickers of dog meat and firm 3 markets of dog meat.
- In 2024, he mobilized 200 women agricultural entrepreneurs for the transformation of shea nuts in order to improve the nutritional and cosmetic quality of the community and considerably reduce deforestation.
